7 Perfect Perennials for the Lazy Gardener
Gardeners can be lazy, or sometimes you don’t find time, but this doesn’t mean you can’t have a beautiful garden. Look at these 7 perennials that are low maintenance and look beautiful too!
Just because you don’t have a lot of time to garden doesn’t mean you can have a beautiful yard!
OK, so maybe lazy is a strong word, but let’s face it that not all gardeners have a ton of time on their hands. Some gardeners need low maintenance, easy to tend to plants that are just as beautiful as they are stress-free. If you are one of those gardeners, these are the plants you should try.
1. Bleeding Hearts (in the photo above)
Bleeding hearts shrub out nicely and are perfect for filling in space with color. They come in pink, red, and white varieties and require little fuss. You can find bleeding hearts for just a few dollars each, and they will bloom in early summer, putting on a colorful, graceful show. They grow well in both shade and sun and are sure to return year after year.
It just doesn’t get any easier than hostas! They come in many sizes and shades of green and can fill in space nicely. You can even divide them up every few years (here’s how), which is an excellent way to get free plants for other parts of your yard. They don’t require pruning, weeds don’t phase them, and a few inches of water a week will do the trick.
