Vertical succulent gardens are so popular right now, from home decor to wedding decorations, and the best thing about this planter is that you don’t need any special tools or supplies for creating this modern-looking vertical succulent planter.

  • Large Hexagon Wall Decor
  • Painters tape
  • White acrylic paint
  • Polyurethane
  • Picture frame hanger (optional)
  • Craft chicken wire—about 4 inches wide
  • Burlap fabric—about 12 inches by 12 inches
  • Sphagnum peat moss
  • Succulent clippings

  • Paint brush
  • 320 grit sand paper
  • Staple gun
  • Small, sharp scissors

Place three strips of painters tape down the hexagon about an inch apart from each other. I made my first tape strip line up with the end of the top and bottom boards on the hexagon. Paint the stripes between the tape and remove the tape. Let the paint dry then sand lightly.
